I’ve been playing fantasy football for a while now. My “rookie” season was 1995. Back then, Sandbox was the only game in town. For 3 years, my roommates and I played on Sandbox, but then they went to a paid basis.

Times change. The core group of guys that played back then are still playing. This year, most of us are managing multiple teams (on different platforms). I have given myself a writing project to blog my fantasy season. All 4 of my teams will be written about each week, as will the games.

For those uninitiated among you, fantasy football, as so eloquently put in the picture at the beginning of this article, is a role-playing game. The role you play is that of an NFL team owner. Every player in the NFL is put into a draft pool, from which your team is built.

My teams this year are (abbreviations for future reference in parentheses):

• Vengeance – Yahoo (vy)
• Vengeance – NFL.com (vn)
• Vengeance – FleaFlicker (vf)
• Baltimore Ravens – FleaFlicker (br)
